Clinical aspects of dengue and utility of DENCO 2009 clasification. Experience from the work done in Santa Fe province, Argentina
Abstract
Dengue fever is an acute, endemo-epidemic, viral disease transmitted by the bite of female mosquito Aedes aegypti. Today is the most important arbovirus globally in terms of morbidity, mortality and economic impact For the practical approach , WHO through a group called DENCO (Dengue Control), ranked it in Dengue and without warning signs contributing to a diagnosis and treatment more appropriate Is a complex disease in its manifestations , without specific treatment .Dengue mortality is avoidable in most cases if you intervene in correct, timely manner and is closely related to the quality of care of the patient. We share in this work our intervention strategies in relation to the work done for the care of patients during outbreaks in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
