Abstract

Histoplasmosis is a systemic mycosis produced by a variety of dimorphic fungus called dimorphic Histoplasma capsulatum var. capsulatum inhalation of microconidia produced in the environment. It is a prevalent disease in our environment and especially in patients living with HIV with a count of <200 CD4 lymphocytes/ml and with viral loads greater than 100,000 copies/ml. The presentation of the disseminated form rarely affects the reproductive system; being the most frequent pulmonary form.
